Not even answers, but... at least experience with this sort of thing. They've lived for so long, and could immediately tell when something was up with Sasuke. They have to know more than they're letting on, to be able to do that.

[ Even if Terry can very well understand how people can go crazy if they're kept in a confined place like that, since he has experience, he feels like Minato and Souji are pretty okay, aside from Minato's occasional bloodlust. ]

[ Anybody would seem fine compared to Terry. That doesn't mean they're fine. ]

... Compared to normal human thresholds.

[ Kido... even Terry is aware that his standards are low for stuff like this, so he has to mention normal and human in the same sentence to make his point. ]

[ ...Kido sighs and sits back, bringing the plate up to balance on her knees again. ]

People seeming fine doesn't always mean they are. Sometimes, it's the most "fine" people who aren't.

[ But that's just her pessimism speaking, living with people who smile all the time so they can all live in this happy fantasy world where everything is okay and they're strong enough to stand on their own.

She gestures to the food. ]

[ It's not like Kido is wrong, since Terry was like that for a while in Hirajiro. He looks down when Kido gestures to the food and smiles a little. ]

[ Sounds like something he could just pinpoint, but of course he doesn't. Idk what the answer would be, anyways, so I won't worry about that unless it becomes relevant. ]

Yeah, it's fine. I'd rather finish up whatever we have so there's no leftovers, than have you go out and get stuff for one specific dish.

Yeah, there's really no leftovers from what you cooked for the meeting either. It was so good that everyone finished everything. I want to cook like that too...

I think it was less how good it was and more about how insatiable some people's appetites are...

[ Terry ends up grinning after all, his current happiness multiplying by ten when Kido pats him on the head. ]

It's fine, I can do the dishes when I'm done eating. You were about to turn in, weren't you?

[ She gets up on her feet so she can leave Terry to whatever he was doing before waking her up. She can finish dinner out in the living room or something. ]

I slept a bit already, so I think I'll take a walk outside before going to bed tonight.'

[ As tired as she is from staying up on her feet and cooking all day, going to bed right after eating is just going to give her a stomachache, so a nighttime stroll isn't a bad idea. ]
