[ Kido would not believe him for a second if he said this wasn't on purpose. That grin on your face doesn't convince her one bit, mister. ]

Really...

[ She tries to pull herself up without pulling Terry over, but it's a lot of upper body strength that she doesn't have when her face is red from embarrassment. ]

[overstrain]

[ Terry helps Kido with that and pulls her up. There you go. ]

Then you can always hug me whenever.

[reveilation]

[ Ugh... She's going to hug Terry around the middle right now and not say anything. Now he has to drag her around if he wants to move, like this is some sort of punishment she's not thinking through. ]

[overstrain]

Terry looks down at her, looking happily confused. ]

What's wrong, Kido...?

[reveilation]

Nothing.

[ She needs him to wipe that dumb grin off his face while she doesn't move. ]

I'm trying to think of a better retaliation.

[overstrain]

[ Terry doesn't want that retaliation so he starts skating little by little even while Kido keeps clinging around his torso. It's a free ride! ]

[reveilation]

[ Oh, smart. It's only after he starts skating that she realizes she could always just stomp on his foot and slice his toes clean off with the blade, but she can't do that if he's skating and she can't get a clear shot at it. ]

Hmm... I guess this'll have to do.

[overstrain]

Don't sound so ominous or I might do something worse!

[ Is he teasing? Maybe. Would he actually follow through? ... Maybe. ]

[reveilation]

I'm not and you don't have to. I thought about seeing if you're ticklish, but I value my safety too much.

[ She would else get dropped and smash her face into the ice, or Terry would ditch her in the middle of the lake and she won't be able to get out herself. ]

[overstrain]

[ Kido has a point, and I keep forgetting which of my characters are ticklish or not, so I'll look back at old threads later.

Terry hums cheerfully and, there. They're finally out of the lake. He waddles to the closest bench and sits on it, pulling Kido onto his lap. ]

Hi yourself, mister.

[ She squishes his cheeks between her palms, but it's not as effective with warm hands opposed to back when they were ice cold, so she drops them to scoot off Terry's lap and try to get her skates off in case she needs to make a run for it. She will risk socked feet. ]

[overstrain]

[ After Kido gets her skates off, Terry hugs her to get her to face his direction because on the other side, Mara exists in plain view. ]

You come here often?

[ lmfao ]

[reveilation]

[ lmfao god I can't believe Mara was just looming in the background the entire time. ]

Hm... No, not often. Will this kind stranger show me around? And bring my shoes back over here?

[ Give her shoes back ]

Maybe after I get a kiss?

[ Terry is just joking around, since he would get her shoes anyway, but sticks around to see what her reaction will be. ]

[reveilation]

[ She scoffs at his face. ]

Unfortunately for you, I'm already taken.

[ Kind stranger, don't ask other strangers something like that. ]

[overstrain]

[ Terry laughs a little before getting up. ]

I'll go return the skates. Wait here.

[ He picks up Kido's skates and goes to return them at the stall. He's hoping she doesn't look around and freak out about a dick chariot and a sheet ghost on ice. ]

[reveilation]

[ Kido probably looks around in boredom and accidentally makes eye contact with 45 or Minato at some point and immediately looks mortified enough to draw her legs up on the bench so she can hug her legs and bury her face against her knees. Crisis averted and she doesn't see Mara, but this is how Terry's going to find her, just sort of huddled there on the bench. ]

[overstrain]

[ Terry comes back with Kido's shoes after returning the skates and finds her curled up into a ball.

??? ]

Kido, what's wrong?

[reveilation]

[ She's probably like half faded away at this point too, lifting her face off her knees when she heads Terry returning. ]

I remembered why I hate being like this in public. Itsuki's going to tease me later, I can already tell.

[ Living with Kano was tough, when every single little sign of weakness gets her laughed at. ]

[overstrain]

[ Oh. That other girl. Terry glances over in that direction and smiles at Kido. ]

I can get her to stop if you want me to.

[ He'll kill her. ]

[reveilation]

You don't stand a chance against her. She'll just call you a boy toy again.

[ If it's 45 vs Terry, Kido knows who'll win. ]

[overstrain]

So?

[ She can't talk if she's dead. ]

I never really cared about that.

[reveilation]

[ He should care??? ]

I care about it. You're not that to me, and I don't want anybody to misunderstand our relationship.

[overstrain]

Doesn't that mean you should correct them?

[ Instead of, you know, keeping it a secret? ]

[reveilation]

I did! I told her we weren't like that!

[ She yelled at 45 a lot!! And just never explicitly corrected her, because it shouldn't have been anybody else's business. Kido is the only one who's still hanging onto the idea of it being a secret anyways. ]
