[ Orrrr because of lingering Velvet Room things, which she vaguely recalls from being inside the place and not having Nekogami come out either. Maybe those times in the hospital and in the train were just a coincidence, and these things just happen sporadically. A scary thought. ]

[ He shouldn't sound so cheerful when he says it, but he is. ]

I guess he's just snoozing somewhere... wherever he is when he's not out here.

[ Though that's a lie. Sometimes he can feel Vassago just wanting to come out to kill stuff, but nah. You're grounded. ]

[ He really shouldn't be sounding so cheerful, but if he's not worried about it, then it's better than freaking out and making a big deal about it.

Shifting Umi to one arm, Kido turns as she walks and pokes Terry in the chest. ]

[ Personas are soul monsters... or something ]

[ That takes him by surprise, though he doesn't make any sound. He wasn't paying attention to when Kido was walking towards him, so it feels like she was over there and now suddenly she's right in front of him. ]

... Maybe? Or maybe in my shadow.

[ Kido glances down at Terry's shadow, not that she expected it to look any different, but it's true that their shadows sort of disappear in the dungeons when their Personas are summoned, like they're being completely bathed in light. ]

Hmm... Are those wings?

[ She's just joking. Terry still looks like Terry. ]

[ Terry just laughs a little at that. There's no way there could be any wings! Yeah! Even if Kido was being serious, he'd just laugh it off because what the fuck. Laugh first, deal with it later. Yeah. ]

If I really had wings, things would be a lot easier. Come on, let's keep going.

[ Though he doesn't lead. ]

[ You can't laugh your way through everything, Terry!! Though, he sort of just does that all the time, so Kido doesn't think anything more of it, pausing for a second to place Umi in her hood and then walking forward again with her hands in her pockets. ]

You have Vassago, which is basically the same thing isn't it? Why would you need to fly, anyways? It's a small enough town.

[ When Kido starts walking, Terry does too. ]

I can't soften my landings if I fall from a high enough height. So it cracks the ground sometimes. My shoes take most of the damage...

[ Kido stops walking again. They're never going to make it to the shrine. ]

First of all, what are you doing jumping off from such heights?

[ Since Kido stops, Terry does too. This feels like deja vu already. ]

I can jump high in the air, so... naturally, I'll have a long way to fall?

[ He will answer (most of) her questions anyway... fire them away, Kido.

No, that doesn't answer my question. I mean what for? Why would you have to...

[ Is Terry blasting off to snatch crows out of the air, is that what he's doing?? ]

[ Yeah he... actually did that, but he didn't kill any of them, thanks to Hibiki. :') ]

Um... it's easier to reach things that way and... it's fun?

[ Kido's face basically says what she thinks about that sort of reasoning. ]

[ Terry honestly doesn't need his sight to imagine what face Kido is making right now with the silence lingering between them. This, too, is something he's also used to. He just smiles as usual and takes a step forward. ]

Come ooon, let's get going already.

You're going to break your legs someday, Terrence...

[ But she'll trail after him... reluctantly... and hope he's not going to be jumping off the castle or something once they get there, because there's no way she'll be able to carry him all the way back. And there's also no way in hell she'll bang on the Velvet Room door for assistance even if Terry's legs are all splintered. ]

Weren't you going to try your best to stay out of the hospital?

My legs will be fiiine. I won't have to go to the hospital just from high landings. I promise. My body is a lot sturdier now... and I used to do it all the time back home. It's easier to reach people if all they do is float in the air.

[ He'll slow his pace so that Kido can catch up, but also for the fact that he wants her to lead instead. ]

[ Why are people floating in the air back home?? Terry???? Kido's suddenly incredibly tired, like she wants to cancel this trip and just go home, but they're pretty much at the forest so there's no point. ]

Just... take care of yourself, okay? I'm going to be worried no matter what... I know there are times where injuries can't be helped, but breaking your legs because of something like that is just stupid.

[ She continues walking beside him instead of leading, though, rubbing a hand over the back of her head and startling a little when Umi bats at her hand. Right, there's a cat in her hood. Stay safe there and don't go flying through the air with this maniac walking next to her. ]

[ Welcome to the world of magic and demigods, Kido, where everyone and everything is incomprehensible and insane. :') ]

I know, I know... I'll try not to worry you too much and always do my best in taking care of myself.

[ Umi meows and nuzzles the back of Kido's head and then proceeds to sit in her hood like a human. ]

[ She wants out of that world. Nothing to do with it. Bye. ]

Whoa, hey— can you make sure she's not falling out?

[ She turns her back to Terry so he can reposition Umi and make sure the cat's not going to tumble out if Kido walks too fast. Why can't Umi be a normal cat who'll just curl up nice and neat without making any trouble ]

[ Terry doesn't have time to use pinpointing when she asks, so he absolutely no idea what she's talking about. ]

Who's falling out?

[reveilation]

Uh...

[ Kido just sort of hover hands behind her neck as best she can. ]

I don't know her name.

Falling out of what though?

Umi keeps sitting like a human because that's what she does and gives absolutely no fucks. Her siblings behave better than she does, because she's pretty much a yolo "i do what i want" kind of kitten. ]

[reveilation]

[ A kitten who takes after her owner... Terry's a bad influence. ]

What, are you blind? What else is there in front of you but my hood? Make sure your cat's sitting properly and won't fall out, because I won't be able to see her when we walk.

[overstrain]

[ She was like that before he adopted her okay... Terry blinks when she mentioned about him being blind because lol but he'll do his best to guess where her hood is and then scoops Umi, puts her in a normal lying down position, and withdraws his hands.

Good try without pinpointing! Nice. ]

There. Let's keep going.

[ And he made no attempt to correct the behavior... But so long as she doesn't accidentally drop the kitten and hurt her, Kido will have to be satisfied with this much, placing her hands back in her pockets and pushing down a little so the collar doesn't catch against her neck so much. ]

Alright, let's go. What was I yelling at you before this?

[ It has to be something, because she's feeling irritated and it can't all be because of the cat. ]
